Modo is committed to providing progression for participants, peer mentors and volunteers, whether it’s a seeing themselves getting better, or moving on to further training, volunteering or employment.
All our activities are built round progression, allowing participants and volunteers to gain transferable skills, training and accreditation.
The pathways are determined by the needs of each participant; some moving on quickly, others engage at different levels over years. Every effort is made to tailor the engagement to each individual.
Since moving to Aberdeenshire, Modo has provided a score of young people with their first real job, including several through Community Jobs Scotland (all of whom have gone onto positive destinations).
For those who are not an obvious match with the employment landscape of Aberdeenshire the boost, volunteering gives young people at an important stage of their lives cannot be overestimated.
